How Our Nexus Letter Process Works

Our process is structured, evidence-based, and designed to respect the veteran’s time and privacy.

We provide a clinical framework for connecting your conditions to service history. Our medically supervised review ensures that every letter is grounded in professional expertise and established VA nexus requirements.

Our Process

Step 1: Submit Screening Questionnaire

Complete our brief screening questionnaire so we can learn more about your claim and determine whether you may be a good candidate to move forward with a non-refundable records review.

Step 2: Submit Payment to Review Records

After records review payment, we perform a meticulous review of your patient records to clinically evaluate if a medical nexus can be established between your service and disability. This non-refundable fee compensates the doctor for their professional time and expertise during the review.

Recommended Documents

1. DD214

2. VA Rating Decision Letters (if applicable)

3. Relevant Service Treatment Records (STR's)

4. Relevant Civilian Medical Records

5. Other Nexus Letters (if applicable)

*Don't worry if you are missing documents. We will guide you through what is needed.

Step 3: Notification of Results

After you are notified of a positive nexus finding(s), we collect payment for our clinical analysis and formal letter generation services. If we cannot establish a nexus based on the records review, you will be notified at that time. The doctor will make every attempt to establish a positive nexus connection, however, there could be instances where they are unable to do so.

Step 4: Submit Payment to Generate Nexus Letter

After submitting payment for your nexus letter(s), our medical provider will draft your formal nexus letter(s), incorporating all clinical evidence and service-connection rationale identified in the review.

Step 5: Review & Revision

We send you a draft for review. You are allowed one revision/proofread phase to ensure accuracy before the document is finalized.

Step 6: Final Delivery

Once approved, our provider signs the medical nexus letter and delivers a final, secured copy for inclusion with your VA claim.

We prioritize transparency and open communication throughout the entire review process, keeping you informed at every milestone.

Timeline and Expectations

Typical response within 24–48 hours. All reviews are handled securely and remotely.

The turnaround time for a medical nexus letter is 5-7 business days and depends primarily on the complexity of the case as well as the volume of medical records provided.

VA Nexus Pros provides Nexus Letters based on clinical findings; however, no specific outcome or claim approval from the Department of Veterans Affairs can be guaranteed.
